Being in Canada the my options were limited unless I wanted to pay stupid amounts of money for shipping. I decided to try the Ottocast A2Air, and very glad I did. Since I already had my phone paired to my vehicle I only had to plug the A2Air into the USB port and connect pair my phone to the box's Bluetooth. After a few seconds the android auto prompts showed up and AA was up and running. After that the next restart of the vehicle there was a short delay then AA was up and running again. Working great with my Pixel 7 pro and 2019 F150. Honestly seems as fast and seamless as the wired AA connection. The multitouch even works for zooming in and out on Google maps. The only slight problem was the firmware update, I had to use my computer to perform it. That being said I didn't have any problems with the A2Air before I did the firmware and still don't after. I would definitely recommend the A2Air, works great and I love it.
Bought one of these for my Holden Trailblazer. Worked great. Fast and easy set-up. Also tried this in my wife's car (Volvo XC40) and worked great as well. Now purchased a second unit for the wife's car.
Wireless Android Auto that just works!
I've had Android Auto in my car since 2017, and when the wireless protocol for that function was released, I was jealous of it. I plan to keep my car for quite a while longer, so this solution to make existing Android Auto "speak" wireless is a great benefit for me. And this particular device works properly to add that capability. It has a few "handshake" issues occasionally, but I think that may be due to starting the car too quickly after having turned it off. The connection "lingers" for a little bit of time after the car is turned off.
Installation is very easy, enables wireless Android Auto, connection problems are very rare.
Works great after Pairing but will no re-connect next time in the car.
