I really love how simple and easy to use this device is. Now I don't have to get into my truck and try to wire up my phone. Every time I get in I get an automatic connection which is quick. The instructions were super easy to follow because they're well written I'm really happy I got it

Works well with 2018 Mercedes GLS - pairs automatically - sound quality, everything works as it should. Helps if you do a software update to the unit for proper functionality.

Was having issues with my wired connection after upgrading my phone. OTTOCAST to the rescue. Works great after one week. Time will tell how well it holds up in the summer heat?

Pretty easy to set up, updated the firmware and connected. So far impressed with the connection, will see how it holds up over time.

I bought this item and the carlinkit 5.0 at the same time to compare. I am returning the carlinkit 5.0 and keeping the ottocast. I have a 2020 Tacoma with apply CarPlay.
The ottocast just worked right out of the box. It took no time to setup and connect. It auto connects quickly every time. The only small complaint is a slight delay, 2-3 seconds, when skipping songs, not a big deal. Sound quality is the same as wired CarPlay. All features work as if connected to wired CarPlay too.
The carlinkit 5.0 was a pain to connect and takes much longer to auto connect even after setup. It would also not connect sometimes or just randomly disconnect. The usb c port is also a very loose connection and if it got bumped it would disconnect. The only pro to carlinkit over ottocast is the delay in skipping music is maybe 1 second faster than the ottocast. This still isnt worth it as I had several times where the music or audio book I was listening to would randomly skip for a few seconds. All features work as if connected to wired CarPlay.

Everything works perfectly and it is so much more convenient to not have to plug in my phone every time I get in the car.

I've had this adapter for three weeks and so far it has worked flawlessly.

I love how this takes mildly outdated tech and brings it so current. Setup was simple (under 5 minutes) and every time I turn the car on my wireless CarPlay is going in just a few seconds. Did I mention that I LOVE this.

Purchased this unit to install in a 2021 Toyota Venza that only had wired Apple Carplay. The installation of the unit was simple and took only a few minutes. The unit is relatively small and does not take up much space in the console. The connection time after I start the car is within a matter of seconds. The sound quality is clear and consistent.
